About The Conference

The Bath Theatre Matters Conference has been designed to tie in with the national My Theatre Matters Campaign which is being run by Equity, The Stage Newspaper and the Theatrical Management Association.

It will offer an opportunity for anyone with an interest in theatre at ALL levels to come together, network, debate, learn new skills and celebrate theatre.

The day will be split into very distinct sections:

Keynote Speeches

These will be delivered by a host of exciting speakers and will cover a range of subject that is relevant not only to the theatre community in Bath but also effects companies and venues nationwide.

Discussion Panels

A short speech from some amazing and experienced speakers followed by question and answer sessions. Your chance to pick the brains of those working in the industry or to raise points that you wish to discuss or find out more information about.

The BIG Debate

Hosted by a panel of interesting industry professionals. This is your chance to discuss anything to do with theatre – whether that be funding, writing plays, booking tours, how to get audiences. Think Question Time does theatre. If you have a question you would like to discuss please email it to info@theatrebath.co.uk and we’ll make sure it’s put in front of the panel for you.

Showcase Of Local Work

What better way to end the day than by seeing some of the fantastic work produced locally. Join us in this celebration of theatre in Bath. Featuring performances from youth theatre companies, dance and drama it’s sure to be a brilliant way to end the evening.
